Circuit Stickers!

An new, interesting take on an old concept: Chibitronics. Jie Qi and Andrew Huang from MIT have collaborated in coming up with this innovative new approach to hobbyist electronics with circuit stickers. Circuit Stickers, as the name implies, is a fun way to build working electronic circuits out of simple stickers - and lends itself towards any and all creative electronic endeavours, including wearable clothing by way of circuit fabrics.

There are LED stickers, sensors, conductive threads and carbon paint, and all other sorts of interesting conductive materials available to help you get started. They currently have a kickstarter campaign running which is well past their goal of $1, where you can pick up a kit for steal.

You not only get to build the circuits, but can also program them and interface to them with any personal computer or laptop for more advanced projects.

It's not only a great way to get your young ones (or old ones!) introduced to the world of technology, but it is also a tonne of fun and very dynamic lending itself in particular to smart homes - especially around Christmas!
