Australian Government’s central IT to standardise its office documents on the Open Document Format.

Just found this interesting Article today.

As a fan of Open Office and Libre Office tools and as a supporter of opensource software I was really excited to see the Australian Government take a step in the right direction.
This should allow greater compatibility and a wider choice of office programs.
